Please allow me to introduce myself.
My name—my real name—is Seth. I am the husband to the love of my life, Amber, and father to my three sons Isaac (4), Jude (2), and Ian (1). We live our lives and make our home in Arkansas, U.S.A.
I will not belabor the point—by now you know the story. But let me take this opportunity to thank you. Over the course of the last month, you have submitted quite an awe-inpsiring collection of letters. You shared your hopes, fears, losses, and wisdom; you shared your mother story.
You have authored a project that reached farther than I could have ever imagined—all seven continents are represented. I am truly grateful for your response, and know that Amber will be also!
I also want to say a special thanks to Shannon at Rocks in My Dryer. Many of you know how she assisted in spreading the word. I am awestruck by her response to a single email that she very well could have deleted. Thanks forever, Shannon.
Thanks also to Ann and Ann, who also took the time to respond to an email from a random strangers in middle-America. Thank you Robin for your PR tips and the endless publicity. Thank you to the rest of you who gave of yourself this Christmas so that you could affect the life of a complete stranger.
Please stop by the sites of Sarah, Cindy, and Nicole and thank them for helping me put this project together!
For a while, I am without internet access. Today’s posts were authored and scheduled well before I left for my Christmas trip. As a result, it will be a few days before I can post Amber’s reaction. Until then, you can get to know her through her musings at her Blog.
For those of you who have posted in the last few days, be looking for the post-Christmas supplement that will include your letters.

The Child in the manger, held by His mother, is blessed by the work of your hands, Seth. Such a gift, this.
Not only to Him, but to bloggers who could meet in these letters, Mothers sharing and laughing and crying and embracing and praying together.
A beautiful thing, the gift of hearts.
Thank you, Seth and Amber, for the gift you've given all of *us*! And to each of the women who wrote such thoughtful, transparent, luminous letters... you bless.
Merry, Merry Christmas, mothers, fathers and children all around this spinning globe... He's Come!
All's grace,
Ann
This is such a beautiful way of celebrating Christmas. I stayed up late reading our letters ... laughing and crying. Thank you.
So happily eager to see the response. And really, please stop thanking me, Seth, because I feel like I'm the one who was blessed to pieces in this thing.
[PS...ditto what Ann said, because she always says it prettier anyway...] ;)
Thank you Seth, this is amazing. I am going to take my time reading and enjoying everyone's letter.
What a great idea, and what a follow-through on behalf of you and so many others.
From what I have seen so far I think there will be many tears falling down my cheeks as I read.
Thank you for organizing and thank you to everyone for their efforts.
Merry Christmas 2008!!
Love, Pam

I have been reading through my mother letter and I just gotta say it's amazing! Do you think you could publish this?! I would so love to buy this for a gift for new mother's I know and also buy one for myself!! Let us know if this could work! Great job and blessings to you and your wonderful family!
Thank you. Thank you. I feel blessed to have been a part of this and to have been able to read the thoughts and journeys of hundreds of other mothers. Thank you and God bless you all.
If I may simply add my sentiment to all the others who have commented... I have laughed. I have cried. I have prayed. I will continue to laugh, cry and pray as I think about each of these women who have written letters for your most perfect gift. Your "Project" has touched people in ways that you may never have imagined... ways that will help and to heal a sometimes broken world. May God bless you...
Much love,
Sharon
Hello old friend, I am so glad you finally introduced yourself to the blog world and thank you for introducing me to this amazing project. Please update us all with the story of your wife's reaction (and it would be even better if you could get her to write us a post in her own words) You have been and still are amazing Seth.
